Zachary Ferris
LPC
Zachary Ferris is a born Oregonian and American Indian from the Siletz tribe. In 2016 he moved to Omaha Nebraska for four years where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Education from Buena Vista University. During his time there he worked with struggling students at various schools in Iowa and Nebraska. Upon graduating, he returned to his home state of Oregon where he obtained his Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bushnell University in 2022, and became a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Since graduating, he has worked in the Roseburg and Coos Bay areas specializing in trauma work. He has a strong passion of helping those in need regardless of what they may be struggling with. He specializes in working with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma and anxiety, as well as those that struggle with overcoming power, anger and control difficulties. Zachary has been trained in a wide range of therapeutic approaches including EMDR, CBT, DBT and ACT, that he melds together to create the best form of treatment for each individual who walks through his door.
Entering the field of therapy has been one of the best decisions in his life. He has answered a calling to serve his community and patients of all ages while developing lasting relationships. He believes one of the most important aspects of therapy is to establish a strong working relationship with each of his patients while developing a treatment plan that is uniquely curated for the patient’s needs.
Zachary enjoys traveling the world with his family to gain a better understanding of the various cultures of the world and also enjoys sampling the wonderful foods they offer.
He has a background working with Christian individuals and loves working with people from all walks of life. He can’t wait to meet you and begin guiding you through your therapeutic journey.
